The tools I use to get stuff done

I get asked a lot about the things I use to build software, stay productive, or buy to fool myself into thinking I’m being productive when I’m really just procrastinating. Here’s a big list of all of my favorite stuff.

Tech

  • 14” M4 Pro MacBook Pro

    So powerful, so portable.

  • Dell U2723QE Monitor

    A single display with keyboard shortcuts for switching spaces and directly focussing my common apps. No neck strain for me 👌

  • Aurora Corne Keyboard

    I wandered down the split keyboard path a few years ago and haven’t looked back!

  • Logitech MX Master 3

    Slightly more ergonomic than other offerings. I tend to use the keyboard as much as possible though.

Productivity

  • Argon Tasks

    Full disclosure - I built it. I use it every day to keep track of my tasks and projects. It’s simple, fast, and has a great dark mode.

  • Raycast

    I probably use this at least a few hundred times a day. It's a productivity superhero - check it out!

Development tools

  • Neovim

    I love the configurability and staying in the terminal. The Vim emulation in other editors doesn't come close so I haven't switched. My configuration is over on GitHub.

  • kitty

    Cross platform, simple and performant.
